This week/weekend has been filled with a crazy amount of holiday parties & get togethers! 

I had a wonderful holiday work lunch and said my goodbyes (pursuing jewelry full-time and finishing school!), and a much needed wine night with some friends I haven't seen in forever.  Here is what I wore last night to a holiday party hosted by my good friend Cassie, of Fit & Fashionable.

The weekend is getting closer and closer! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to vote for me. I am competing with some pretty great bloggers so even if I don't win, I'm happy I was even in the running!

On a sad note, a friend I went to High School with fell off of a boat last Saturday night and drowned. 

It's crazy how life can be taken away so easily and how much we take life for granted. 

RIP Terrell, you have a lot of people that love you and you will be missed.

Good morning lovelies! Please excuse my wrinkled shirt. Clearly it doesn't stay ironed out for very long.

 I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was filled with trying new food joints, hiking, and as always... shopping. I wore this outfit when my bf and I went to Jake's on 6th on Saturday night for some vino and relaxation.  Love this place! This weekend we are heading to Vegas! Time to start picking out the outfits!

My friend & makeup artist, Morgan, came over last week to give me some makeup tips. She showed me some simple tricks on how to apply eye shadow (I am horrible at applying eye makeup- besides eyeliner and mascara) how to blend, and where to apply certain shades. She also showed me how to use the makeup I already have so I wouldn't have to purchase a million new things. Plus, we got to try out my new products from the giveaway I won!

I wanted a good day & night option and this was the result:

I love both equally. The day time look is so classic and simple. 

This night time look will be perfect for my upcoming trip to Vegas!

I seriously could not get over the dark blue. Whenever I used to think of blue eye shadow or blue eyeliner I would cringe. Then I saw it popping up a lot lately and honestly, I was scared to try it. But now... I'm totally sold, this is brilliant. Thanks Morgan! I loved the whole process and learned so much!

I just realized that there's a whole lot of hair touching in these photos.

I was a mess taking these photos. I felt sorry for my bf because I was seriously complaining
the whole time. It was windy and bright, and I didn't have coffee yet...pure.evil.mess. 

In other news we booked a trip to Vegas this month. My bf's little sister is turning 21. 

I'm going with his 3 sisters, so it's going to get a little out of hand...just a little. 

And that means that it's time to go Vegas dress shopping! Anyone have any suggestions?

Is anyone else wondering how it's going to be August next week? This summer has been going by in a blink...and I haven't been to the beach in over a month! My bf & I are still wanting/needing to take a mini weekend vacation this summer but haven't thought of where we could go. Any suggestions?

In other news, I have been so surprised by my Etsy shop! I have been up and running for about 3 

months and I've made over 120 sales! I'm so happy/excited/anxious to see where I can go with this!

Who's not ready for the work week to start? Me. 

I did manage to do a little shopping & thrifting this weekend so that makes me happy! I'll be sure to show you what I found. I also managed to almost give my bf a heart attack while wearing these platforms. I am so clumsy...I trip, I spill on myself, I drop things..it's bad. Well, I stepped off of a curb at the mall this weekend and lost my footing and just about twisted my ankle. He was so worried I had hurt myself. There were so many people around and you would think I would be embarrassed, but I wasn't, I am so used to doing stupid stuff like that..haha!

When I saw this Banana Republic skirt while perusing through the Carlsbad Outlets- I knew I had to have it. I was flipping over each tag in a frenzy trying to find my size. No wonder why people at outlet stores run over everyone else with that crazed look in their eyes! It happened to me, and I wasn't proud of it. Although, I was proud that I got this skirt 50% off of the initial retail price ($70). So what if it was probably from last season? Or the season before that? The color blocking, the neutrals, and the bright pop of yellow...I still love it regardless.
