When I saw this tutorial at The Beauty Department I wondered why the hell I didn't think of it! I never use the clamp on my curling iron and I am not impressed with the non-clamp curling irons sold in stores. So I took my favorite 1" curling iron and fixed it!

Voilà! The perfect curling iron!

Let's face it, with all of our hectic schedules it's nearly impossible to style your hair everyday. That's why I have become bff's with the messy bun and the side pony. The side pony you see above was washed and styled the day before. I did a 1 minute touch up by wrapping large sections of my hair around a curler (no clamp). Then I loosely side parted my hair, secured it with an elastic, and ran my fingers through the curls to break them up. Simple & easy way to look put together in only about 5 minutes!

Last week I came across the "Sock Bun Tutorial" on pinterest. 

I watched the youtube video and once it was over, I scrambled to find a sock to use that night!
You basically wrap your hair in a sock and the next morning you wake up with curls. No heat needed.

Sounds weird, I know, but it definitely works!

I don't think my hair was damp enough and some areas were a bit frizzy. 

But I will definitely be using this method more often!
