Well we are attempting another DIY this weekend to make a vertical bookshelf!

After seeing one on Etsy that we really liked (for $250! OUCH!) we figured we would give it a try.

The bf & I purchased a beautiful piece of wood to use as a shelf in our living room.  We searched for the perfect pair of mounting brackets but never found anything we liked.  That was, until I found a picture with these amazing industrial mounts.  I love them because they are so unique and best of all- you can buy all of the pieces at Home Depot!

We are hoping to get this shelf mounted tomorrow, so I will be sure to show you a picture once it is finished!

When I saw this tutorial at The Beauty Department I wondered why the hell I didn't think of it! I never use the clamp on my curling iron and I am not impressed with the non-clamp curling irons sold in stores. So I took my favorite 1" curling iron and fixed it!

Voilà! The perfect curling iron!
